OVERVIEW of STUDY
Before (pre-integration)
- Take Care of forms site organization, teacher informed consent, integration plan, student informed consent
- Baseline surveys before integrating, use provided surveys to measure empowerment and engagement
During (while integrating)
- Teach what an Explorer Mindset is
- Create and Plan give students space to think about and craft their own Explorer Mindset (using the app or website) and plan a learning expedition integrated with your content
- Support with regular discussion during the learning process (and Practice/Explore activities from the app/website if possible)
- Reflect on the impact (with the Analyze portion of the website/app)
After (post-integration)
- Final surveys use provided surveys to measure post-integration empowerment and engagement

Student Informed Consent
Parental permission is needed for students’ data to be included. in the study, even though their data is anonymous.
For electronic completion using Adobe Sign, I will email you a customized form coded by your last name, so that the forms are easily organized. Please contact me when you would like the link (kellkoll@hssdschools.org)
For a hard copy, please download here, then scan and upload all your student forms into a folder and share/send. Download form in Spanish here.

Baseline Survey
This survey measuring empowerment and engagement is the basis for our quantitatve data. The survey is anonymous and you will get one link to send to your whole class. In the integration plan above, you selected a date for when you would like your link sent to you. Alternatively, you can have students take it on paper. Copy here. (kellkoll@hssdschools.org)
