An Explorer Mindset is all about putting yourself in the role of an explorer while you are learning. Interested, invested, engaged…as an explorer you are leading your own learning.

DISCOVER

Strengthening the attitudes of curiosity, responsibility and empowerment, there is no end to what you can learn or discover with an Explorer Mindset.

Based on the Learning Framework of National Geographic Education,
an Explorer Mindset is a perspective where students and teachers view themselves as explorers, catalyzing the learning process. Content isn’t imposed, it is explored and discovered.
This is a mindset that places students and teachers in positions where they are invested, interested and engaged.

The Explorer Mindset Website and App was created by a team of educators, explorers and consultants; primarily made possible through support from National Geographic Society. Continued fundraising is needed to sustain the technology as well as implement outreach.
